A delighted Aoife Lyons, who was crowned as the Rose of Arranmore
Aoife Lyons was a popular winner of the Rose of Arranmore Festival.
Aoife is the daughter of Bridín Gallagher and is from Chicago and Arranmore and won the event the weekend before last. Her escort, Brendan Green, was named as the top escort and Máire (aka Kathleennancy) was crowned the glamorous granny.
There was a fair day and lá Gaelach at Rannagh, while sports and skiff racing took place on the Sunday. Congratulations were passed on locally to the committee for organising a very successful event for the second year since the festival's return.
