There were Donegal successes at the 2024 Oireachtas Media Awards at the Gleneagle Hotel, Killarney, Co Kerry.
Michelle Nic Grianna, from Rann na Feirste of RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta, won the Award For Outstanding Eloquence, which was presented by Minister for Sport, Physical Education & the Gaeltacht, Thomas Byrne T.D.
Máire Bhreathnach from Killult, Gortahork, picked up the Film of the Year award on behalf of Belfast band Kneecap, the film of the same name made possible by Fine Point Films, Mother Tongues Films, TG4 and Wildcard.
Tuairisc.ie were presented a special recognition award on celebrating 10 years online.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was announced beforehand and bestowed upon the Director General of TG4, Alan Esslemont for spearheading new and visionary initiatives within the television sector, in addition to the many major achievements of TG4 under his stewardship and the significant successes of the fledging Irish language film industry.
Raidió Rí-Rá’s Aisling Ní Dhonnabháin was awarded the Rising Star of the Year award, the only award selected by public vote. In total15 awards were presented.

An tOireachtas is the lead organistion in the Irish Language sector charged with ‘Organising & Promoting Events as Gaeilge and Establishing Irish Language Networks’ and receives core-funding from Foras na Gaeilge.
