Bloody Foreland in Donegal is one of 19 locations for the All-Ireland Whale Watch Day.
On Saturday next, August 19, people in Donegal will have the opportunity to join a guided, land based whale watching event hosted by the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group (IWDG) in association with Inis.
The Donegal location is Bloody Foreland. Those in the south of the county may prefer to attend the Mullaghmore event.
A spokesperson said: "All local events will be subject to conditions on the day, so you should keep a close eye on the weather and if in doubt you can contact your local watch leader for an update.
"Please note there is no need to book and no boats involved, just show up with your binoculars or spotting scopes."
Further information on local events can be found at https://iwdg.ie/whale-watch-ireland-2023/
This is a National Heritage Week event.
