The Kildarragh Fair returns from August 17 to August 20 with family fun for everyone as well as dancing to some of the best bands in Ireland.
Over the years the Fair has raised thousands of euro for local good causes and this year’s event is no different with money raised going towards the fundraising efforts of Scoil Mhuire Creeslough which has carried out a lot of development over the past few years.
Thursday, August 17 sees the return of Bingo Loco to Kildarragh. Friday, August 18 sees the annual 5K Fun, Run and Walk with the registration from 6.30pm and the race starting at 7.30pm, there will be two bands on stage with the popular Whistling Donkeys returning to Kildarragh as well as music from One for the Road, Saturday, August 19 sees music from Michael English followed by iRadio’s DJ Cooper.
The festival finishes on Sunday, August 20, with music from Dan McCabe and the Danny Byrne Band. These are all ticketed events and tickets are on sale from Eventbrite. There will be live music in the bar before the main acts take to the stage in the Marquee.
Saturday, August 19 sees the Family Fun Day taking part at McCarry’s from 11am until 4pm. There will be Bouncing Castles, Face Painting, Tug-of-War and much more with a Sheep Show at 2pm and an Auction at 3pm.
There is also a Tractor and Vintage Car Run as well as a Honda 50 and Honda 90 Run with modern and vintage tractors welcome.
This will be followed by music with the Honda 50 Man himself Seamus Moore. Proceeds from both events are in aid of Scoil Mhuire in Creeslough.
