The next event in Ardara’s busy festival calendar, the Johnny Doherty Festival will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 22, 23 and 24.
This annual festival honours fiddler John Doherty and comprises concerts, céilís and trad sessions in the heritage town of Ardara.
Sharon Shannon is scheduled to play in the Ardara GAA Club on Saturday, September 23 from 9pm to 11.30pm.
A spokesperson said: “We’re thrilled to welcome renowned traditional performer Sharon Shannon back to Ardara as part of the Johnny Doherty Festival.”
Tickets from €25 + booking fee are available on Eventbrite or from Pat in The Beehive or by calling Mary on 087 6878614.
