Gavin James will headline Friday night at Donegal Town Summer Festival
The headline acts for Donegal Town Summer Festival have been announced, with Gavin James and Dec Pierce the big names for Friday and Saturday nights respectively.
This announcement follows news that Derek Ryan will headline the Sunday concert.
With Donegal Town celebrating its 550th anniversary, organisers have gone all out to ensure that this year’s festival is among the best so far. The concerts will take place in the pier area on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, June 28, 29 and 30, and tickets are on sale as day or weekend passes at eventbrite.ie
Gavin James
Gavin James has come a long way from busking and honing his craft in the pubs of his hometown Dublin. Since releasing his debut album in 2016, his international touring has now resulted in a career that’s earned him 2 billion global streams, 1 Diamond and 45 Platinum records across the globe, including two Number One albums in Ireland, a sold-out world tour and live shows with Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Niall Horan.
The two-time Irish Choice Music Prize Award winner kicked off 2023 with a new global record deal with Sony Music and a summer full of festival appearances from Brazil to Glastonbury. Gavin is currently recording his fourth studio album and will be announcing his international touring dates later this year.
Dec Pierce

Sunday Line-up
As previously announced, the final day of the festival is being hailed as the Ultimate Sunday of Music. With Derek Ryan headlining, other acts include Onóir, All Folk’d Up and The Seeger Sessions Revival.
Also taking to the stage over the three days of the festival are The Logues, Dareen Boot, Lavengro, Sean Magee, and Encór Tír Chonaill.
