Featuring the Electrifying and massively talented Zac Schulze Gang, the Aiden Pryor Band and The Bluesman – Peter Price, all will headline this only Festival Theatre Show on Thursday, May 30 at the 20th Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival. The Rory Gallagher Theatre gig traditionally takes place on this night each year and will be attended by members of the Gallagher Family, Donal, Eoin and Daniel Gallagher.
Line Up
Zac Schulze Gang came to real prominence after making their Festival debut at the Rory Gallagher Festival in 2022. Since then the Gillingham boys have been burning up the road across Europe and most recently in the USA. Built on the playing of electrifying guitarist/vocalist Zac Schulze, the gang channels their love for 20th century artists to create blisteringly up-beat blues and rock music. He is backed up by the hard-hitting rhythm section made up of bassist/vocalist Ant Greenwell and his brother & drummer/vocalist Ben Schulze. All three are now regulars on the festival circuits in the USA, UK, Ireland and Europe, they are a force to be reckoned with.
Aiden Pryor and His Band require no introductions to the Rory Gallagher Festival audiences in Ballyshannon with Aiden an extremely talented guitarist and always with a great band that pays the ultimate homage to the Late Rory Gallagher. Like Zac Schulze Gang, the Aiden Pryor Band have in the past headlined in the Festival Big Top and Aiden would be regarded by many of Rory Gallagher’s fans as being one of the leading young lights touring and performing Rory’s music but importantly has quite a repertoire of originals throughout his set. The renowned Alan Nimmo of Scottish Blues Rockers King King described Aiden as “not only does he possess some great guitar skills but he seems to be one of a dying breed … The type of musician who doesn’t view music as a competition, just a great platform for many like minded people to express their art and share and learn with each other”.
Peter Price – The Bluesman and in many respects the Ballyshannon Bluesman … although Peter hails from Warrington, in Cheshire England. The gentle giant of Blues has been performing for many years at the Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival. Peter Price will play his biggest Ballyshannon stage to date and it’s the Rory Gallagher Theatre stage. It is much deserving for Peter Price who performs the Blues passionately in Ballyshannon each year, plays a huge amount of gigs with no fuss but will leave a massive impression on the masses. We are so delighted to recognise Peter Price with this gig. One music critic said: “His performances demonstrate a mind-boggling mastery of the acoustic guitar, a rich singing voice and a relaxed yet compelling stage presence”.
The Rory Gallagher International Tribute Festival Welcome Gig on Thursday, May 30 at the Rory Gallagher Theatre at the Abbey Arts Centre, Ballyshannon is not to be missed. Advice is to purchase your tickets early. Doors Open at 7.30pm and the show gets underway at 8pm sharp.
