As well as offering a fantastic range of local fare, Rossnowlagh Farmers Market has gone the extra mile each week to ensure that patrons of all ages are entertained.

This week they are going a step further, hosting RNLI-lead water safety sessions to ensure that children and young people know how to enjoy the beach safely.

A session for children aged three to 11 takes place from 11am to 11.30am on Friday, August 16. This will be followed by a session for children and teens aged 11+ from 12 noon to 12.45pm.

A spokesperson for Rossnowlagh Farmers Market said: “As a coastal community, it’s vital that we all understand how to enjoy the ocean safely. That’s why we’ve teamed up with the RNLI to bring you an event in association with Rossnowlagh Community which will be filled with fun and education.

“The RNLI team will be joining us to host interactive and engaging sessions for kids and adults, where they’ll learn all about ocean safety.

“It’s the perfect opportunity for us to gain valuable knowledge on how to stay safe while enjoying our beautiful coastline.

“Bring your family, enjoy the market, and make sure to plan to come for the RNLI sessions to learn how we can all do our part to stay safe by the sea.

“See you at the market.”

The market takes place every Friday from 10am to 1pm in the Council Car Park, Rossnowlagh. It is a great opportunity to enjoy local, organic, fresh produce, salads, microgreens, baked goods, flowers and more while supporting local farmers and artisans.

Updates and further information can be found on the Rossnowlagh Farmers Market Facebook page.
