The Leghowney Hooley is making a welcome return
The Hooley in the Hall makes a welcome return to Leghowney after a summer break.
A spokesperson said: “The Hooley crew are delighted to welcome our dancers back for a year of dancing, music, chat, good company, and tasty suppers, all the while gathering a few euros for many local and worthy charities.”
The next Hooley is on Wednesday, September 11 at the usual time of 8.30pm to 10.30pm.
“Music on the night will be in the talented hands of Anne McGroary and Eddie Gallagher,” said the spokesperson.
“Funds raised will go to a very important local cause, to Donegal Donkey Sanctuary in Raphoe who do fantastic work rescuing unwanted or mistreated donkeys, providing them with a safe refuge until perhaps a new home is found.”
Entry is €10 which covers dancing and the famous Leghowney supper.
The spokesperson added: “All regular dancers or new faces are very welcome and all support is greatly appreciated.”
