The annual Thanksgiving for the Gift of Priesthood Pilgrimage to Knock (AOH) is taking place in early October, with a bus leaving from south and south-west Donegal.
This is the last pilgrimage to Knock this year. It takes place on Saturday, October 12 with the day’s schedule set to include:
-outdoor Stations of the Cross and Rosary Procession at 2pm
-concelebrated Mass at Knock Basilica with anointing of the sice at 3pm
The parade will be led by the St Naul’s Pipe Band from Ardaghey.
Those taking part in the pilgrimage will have the opportunity to explore Knock Shrine, including:
-visit the Apparition Chapel and see the Apparation Mosaic
-visit Knock Museum (free admission)
-exposition in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
-self-guided audio tour
-guided prayer sessions in the Prayer Centre
-100 acres of landscaped gardens to explore
-resources to enrich and inspire at Knock Bookshop
The bus will leave Biddy’s Corner, Glencolmcille at 8am, Carrick Carpark at 8.10am, the corner Kilcar at 8.20am, Killybegs bus stop at the Tara Hotel 8.35am, Bruckless Church Carpark 8.45am, Dunkineely 8.55am, Frosses Crossroads 9.05am, Mountcharles 9.15am, Donegal Town Abbey Hotel 9.30am, Kee’s of Laghey 9.45am, Ballyshannon bus stop 10am.
