Glenties is to host a Gig for Gaza in the Glen next month.
A night of song, music, poetry and solidarity will take place at Edeninfagh Hall with proceeds going to Medical Aid for Palestine. An amazing lineup of local singers, musicians, and storytellers including Texas Ollie, Rita Gallagher, Breezy Willow, Tara Connaghan, Sinéad Kennedy, Naoise MacCathmhaoil, Ingrid Lyons, Ian Smith and many more will be on stage on the night.
Organised locally, this event takes place at Edeninfagh Hall on Saturday, December 7, from 7:30pm, with doors opening at 7pm.
“This has been a huge effort by local people to put together a show to showcase our local talent, build solidarity and provide a positive outlet for the grief we are all collectively feeling about what is happening in Gaza,” said one of the organisers Ellie MacInnes from Glenties. Tickets, priced at €15 are available on Eventbrite Gig for Gaza in the Glen.
