Classes are getting underway at Leghowney, the home of the famous Leghowney Hooley, and everyone is welcome to come along. Dance lessons will commence at Leghowney Hall on Wednesday, February 5 from 8pm to 10pm, costing €5 per night.

A spokesperson for the Leghowney Hall committee said: "All the Old Time Classics, Barndances, Quicksteps, Polkas, Waltzes and much more, will be covered by dance teacher Aiden Gallagher.

"These classes are open to everyone, with no experience or partner needed.

"Classes will continue each Wednesday night excluding one Wednesday per month on which our Hooley Night is held where you can come along and put into practice all those moves."

The first Hooley of the year will take place at Leghowney Hall on Wednesday, February 12 from 8.30pm to 10.30pm. Music will be provided by Sinead Black Music, with dancing and that lovely Leghowney supper all for €10.

"The spokesperson said: "We are looking forward to welcoming back all our regular dancers and new faces are always very welcome."
