The 10th Literary Festival will take place on the weekend of Friday, October 17
The organising committee for the highly anticipated 10th annual Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter Literary Festival is set to hold a planning meeting to shape this milestone event.
The meeting will take place on Monday, March 3, 8pm at Blakes Bar, bringing together festival organisers, volunteers, and literature enthusiasts to discuss plans for what promises to be a memorable celebration of literature and the arts.
Now in its tenth year, the Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter Literary Festival has grown into one of the most significant cultural events in Donegal, attracting writers, poets, and audiences from near and far. The festival continues to honour the area’s unique links with Jane Austen and Brendan Behan, while providing a platform for contemporary speakers, experts, artists and new voices.

Key discussion points at the upcoming planning meeting will include the selection of featured authors and speakers, event scheduling, venue coordination, and volunteer opportunities. The committee also welcomes fresh ideas from the community to help make the tenth festival event the most successful yet.
“The festival has always been a community-driven event, and this year is particularly special as we celebrate a decade of literary excellence in the Cathedral Quarter,” said Donnan Harvey of the organising committee. “We encourage anyone with a passion for literature and the arts to join us at the planning meeting and contribute their ideas.”
Local businesses, organisations, and individuals interested in sponsoring or supporting the festival are also invited to attend the meeting or reach out to the committee. The 10th Literary Festival will take place on the weekend of Friday, October 17.
