As St Patrick’s Day approaches, Donegal Youth Service is gearing up to host a vibrant celebration for all the family.

The event takes place on Monday, March 17, from 12-4pm at 16-18 Port Road, Letterkenny.

With a focus on providing a safe and alcohol-free environment, the event aims to offer young people and their families an alternative way to celebrate the holiday. The event will feature a range of engaging activities, including face painting, hair braiding, arts and crafts activities, and tasty food options. Live music performances from young artists participating in the Irish Youth Music Awards debut.

A new addition to our annual event this year will be the Thrifty Threads popup shop, offering affordable clothing for all family members, promoting sustainability, and supporting our positive action project.

"We believe that every young person deserves a safe and supportive environment where they can have fun and celebrate without the pressure to drink alcohol," said Pauric Bell at Donegal Youth Service. "Thanks to Donegal County Council for supporting the event."

The event underscores the significance of youth and community work in fostering a sense of belonging and promoting positive social interactions. This event is open to the whole family, so together, let us celebrate responsibly and create memorable experiences that reflect the spirit of unity and inclusivity.
