Be part of The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever Donegal
Donegal is gearing up for The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever.
The event is open to everyone and will see people gather, dressed in red, to recreate the iconic music video of this seminal hit.
The event is taking place at Donegal Town Tourist Office on Sunday, July 27, just ahead of Kate Bush’s birthday.

And don’t worry about missing the All Ireland football final, say the organisers. The event starts at 12 noon so there will be plenty of time to enjoy taking part and to get changed into the green and gold in time for throw-in.
Indeed, with a big screen showing the game on the Diamond, many will no doubt opt to enjoy a local lunch at one of Donegal Town’s fine cafes and restaurants before enjoying the big game with family and friends.
It will certainly be a day to enjoy in Donegal Town.
As well as being a lot of fun, The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever is also raising funds for an important cause, Women’s Aid.
For those who feel their dance moves are not quite up to scratch, organisers say: “Don’t despair - The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever event will have some fabulous dance leaders to help us through Kate’s iconic moves on the big day.
“With wonderful support from Sarah Gillespie of StudioS dance studio in Donegal Town we’ll all be wuthering with the best of them!
“Anyway - it’s only a bit of fun and it’s actually comical when people are trying to keep up with the moves!”
Those looking to get a head start on the dance moves will find Wuthering Heights videos and tutorials on YouTube.
This event is not just for women. Anyone can join in.
“All we ask is that you wear red, bring your sense of joy and fun and donate a few euro for a fun fundraiser in support of Women`s Aid,” say the organisers.
They are also keen to stress that while wearing red adds to the spectacle, there is no need to go to any expense. The image of Kate Bush in the iconic red dress can of course be replicated, but any touch of red at all will do just fine. Local charity shops have plenty of red clothing in stock at the moment, and this is a wonderful opportunity for those who like dressing up to get creative.
