Excitement is building in Creeslough as the community prepares for its Annual Fair Day, set to take place on Saturday, August 9, from 12 noon to 8pm.

Organised by the Creeslough Community Enterprise Group, this year’s event promises a vibrant mix of live entertainment, family activities and local culture, spread across two main venues: The Old Cope Yard and Down at the Field.

At The Old Cope Yard, the entertainment kicks off at 1pm with Bingo in the Shed, followed by live music performances throughout the afternoon. The Culprits take the stage at 2pm, followed by singer Chelsea Evans at 3pm.

At 4pm the SoggyBottom Boys will perform, with Louise Langan providing more music at 5pm. The evening continues with Hard2Beat at 6pm and closes out with DJ Doc. Market stalls will be running all day offering a variety of local produce and crafts. Highland Radio’s Lee Gooch will serve as guest MC for the day’s events.

Down at the Field, the festivities will include a Sports Day running from 12pm to 4pm and the Creeslough Vintage Club from 12pm to 4pm showcasing classic vehicles and machinery. A Sheep Show begins at 1pm and runs until the conclusion of the event. Children can enjoy amusements throughout the day along with face painting from 1pm to 4pm. Local movie screenings will also take place hourly to keep visitors entertained.

Food lovers can look forward to the Braai BBQ at Rose’s Bar Alleyway, adding even more flavour to what is set to be a fantastic family day out. With a packed programme of events, Creeslough Fair Day is shaping up to be a highlight of the summer calendar.
