The meeting is part of a nationwide initiative led by ACT and Hometree, designed to gather stories, ideas and lived experiences from communities as Ireland works to meet the EU Nature Restoration Law’s target of restoring at least 20% of land and sea areas by 2030.
Insights from the events will be passed to the Independent Advisory Committee and shared with the National Parks and Wildlife Service to ensure that community voices play a central role in shaping policy.
Organisers describe the conversations as “authentic, inclusive, and impactful,” stressing that this is more than a consultation — it is an opportunity for communities to help build a future with nature at its heart.
