The celebration will take the form of a special Coffee Morning, which will also serve as a fundraiser
The community of Donegal Town is preparing to celebrate a truly remarkable milestone - the 105th birthday of Mary Meehan.
The celebration will take the form of a special Coffee Morning, which will also serve as a fundraiser for two vital local services.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, and will take place at St Patrick's Parish Centre in Donegal Town, running from 12 noon to 2pm. Attendees are encouraged to join in honouring Mary’s life with "joy, cake, and community spirit."
In addition to celebrating Mary's milestone, the coffee morning is dedicated to raising funds for the charitable causes supported by Mayor Anna Gallagher.

The proceeds from the event will be split between two important institutions that provide essential care to the region - the Donegal Hospice and the Donegal Community Hospital.
"Even at 105, Mary is still thinking of others," the mayor posted. "Celebrating her wonderful milestone birthday with kindness, generosity and love. Mary invites you all to come along and join her on her very special day. I am truly honoured Mary has chosen to support Donegal Town Hospital and Donegal Hospice."
Mary, from Glencoagh, Mountcharles, turned 105 earlier this month and visited Harvey's Point with family and friends.
