Families across the Inishowen peninsula are invited to get into the Halloween spirit with a fun, festive event at the Carndonagh Community Library.
The library, a vital community hub, is set to host a special morning of Stories, Rhymes & Crafts on Wednesday, 29 October, at 10am. This event is perfectly timed for the run-up to Halloween, offering a creative and engaging activity for children during the mid-term break.
The programme is specifically designed to be suitable for both toddlers and school-age children, ensuring something for all young attendees, from simple rhymes for the smallest participants to hands-on crafts for older children. Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their children for this free community morning.

While festive attire is certainly welcome, the library has made dressing up entirely optional, allowing children to enjoy the fun in whatever way they feel most comfortable. The focus remains on literacy, imagination, and community connection.
The event, which is part of the library’s wider cultural programme and supported by Comhairle Contae Dhún na nGall (Donegal County Council), highlights the library’s role as a place for learning, creativity, and family engagement.
