Donegal duo begin 100-mile fundraising walk from Malin Head to Killybegs

Two people from Donegal have set off on a 100-mile fundraising walk. 

Bernie and Mary O'Callaghan set off from Banba's Crown, Malin Head, this morning. 

Next Wednesday, Bernie is turning 80 and the intention is to celebrate Bernie’s birthday and fundraise for Killybegs Community Hospital and Cancer Research. Aiming to walk 22km each day and reach Killybegs on November 6.

“I intend to walk from Malin Head to Killybegs, a distance of 100 miles, to celebrate my 80th birthday in November,” Bernie said. “I would appreciate any and every donation made, no matter how big or small; every penny will go towards a very worthy cause.”
