Bri Carr is the founder of Wild Atlantic Women
Wild Atlantic Women are set to hold a St Brigid’s weekend concert at the Balor Arts Centre.
The concert will take place in Ballybofey on Friday, January 30, at 7:30pm.
Wild Atlantic Women was founded by Brí Carr, author and member of local choir and drama groups from Letterkenny, with strong ties to Árainn Mhór. Brí is passionate about creating space for women’s voices in music and the arts.
An array of female vocalists will perform at the concert, including Maria McCormack, Bernie Doherty, Anne Biddie, Geraldine Legon, Anne Conaghan, Kate Ford, Rachel Akkoc, Jean Curran, Carol Wilson, Mary Dunne, Helena McNally, Alannah McGlynn, Sinead Black, Siobhán McGroarty, Sarah Laughlin, Kelli McGror and Adele Timoney.

The event will take place on Friday, January 30, in the Balor Arts Centre, Ballybofey. Doors open at 7:30 and the event will kick off at 8pm. Tickets are €15 and can be purchased at the Box Office. There will also be a ‘Brigid’s Well of Kindness’ raffle, which is inspired by the spirit of Brigid’s generosity and kindness. A donation of €1,000 will be made to the winner's chosen charity.
