“Our committee has been working hard already in an effort to make the parade successful,” Chamber President Jimmy Stafford said. “We are already getting pledges of financial support from businesses to help with the costs of the parade. Without their contributions, the parade would not be possible.
“St Patrick’s Day is an important event in the calendar, marking the start of the Spring season. We are looking forward to good weather and a day of fun and celebration. The Letterkenny Parade is traditional, fun, inclusive and colourful, a real family celebration and there’s still time to get your entry organised.”
Toni Forrester, CEO, Letterkenny Chamber, added: “Our appeal goes out to community groups, sporting organisations, schools, dance groups and everyone else to apply to be part of the parade. Just give us a call at Letterkenny Chamber on 0749124866 and we’ll send out a form.”
