The final countdown is on to one of the biggest sporting gatherings in the north west, the Bundoran 10.

And this year’s event will mark the sad passing of the late Eamon Harvey in a very special way. Eamon’s contribution to athletics and para-athletics was immense, not only in Donegal but at national level and on the world stage. Ahead of each of the three start times for the Bundoran 10 events, there will be a minute of applause to acknowledge Eamon’s contribution to the sport.

Organisers have issued clarification on start times for the event which takes place in Bundoran over two days, Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7.

A spokesperson said: “We are aware that an email that previously went out had incorrect start times, apologies for that and the confusion. Please see all times and information below.

5K Fun Run starts at 7.30pm

Saturday, March 7

10 Mile Walk starts at 10am (any runners who will be over two hours are asked to join this group)

10 Mile Run starts at 11am.

The spokesperson said: “Any runners who think they will be between 1:45 and 2hrs, we recommend they start with the runners at 11am so they get to enjoy the warm up and the start line atmosphere and please do not worry about the cut-off times. We want you to enjoy your race and time in Bundoran.
