One Donegal Social Inclusion Week will take place from tomorrow, Thursday.
The week, from wich runs from Thursday, April 9 to Friday, April 17, aims to bring attention to the work that members of the council and other statutory and community groups are doing to raise awareness of issues related to social inclusion in the county.
Lots of events have been planned across Donegal to mark the week, such as workshops, public information sessions, arts and entertainment, kid-friendly events, sports and more.
From Monday, April 13 to Friday, April 17, there will be a Connect and Stroll in Atlantic Technological University (ATU) from 12:30pm to 1pm.
A professional musicians' workshop, Music Trail, is also occurring on those same days in the Family Resource Centres across the county. They can be found at the Cara House FRC, Donegal FRC, Downstrands FRC, Dunfanaghy FRC, Finn Valley FRC, Mevagh FRC, Moville FRC, Raphoe FRC, St. Johnston & Carrigans FRC, and The Forge FRC.

Wellness Cafes are also organised across Donegal and can be found in Letterkenny, Dunfanaghy, Lifford, Clonmany, Moville, Dungloe, Ballybofey, Ramelton and Buncrana.
“This week is about more than just events; it is about people, and this week we shine a light on the values of equality, respect, and belonging that make Donegal such a special place to live,” Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council Paul Canning said.
John G McLaughlin, the Chief Executive of the Donegal County Council, had also said that “the events planned over the coming days are a testament to the incredible work happening in towns and villages across the county. From workshops and cultural celebrations to conversations and collaborative projects, this programme has been shaped by volunteers, community groups, and partners who work relentlessly to ensure that no one is left behind.”
