Robin Hood and his Merry Men are set to invade Ballyshannon!

Rehearsing for Robin Hood and The Babes in The Wood

One place that's sure to be filled with festive cheer this Christmas season is the Abbey Arts Centre in Ballyshannon, where this year's panto, Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood will delight audiences of all ages.
Abbey Arts Productions are delighted to be back again, this time with Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood, written by Ben Croker.
The show delivers everything you’ve come to expect from a Christmas pantomime, and so much more - a gallant hero, a feisty damsel, a villainous baddie to boo off stage and plenty of comedy slapstick, dazzling costumes and fairy-tale sets. Combine all this with non-stop music, dancing and laughter from start to finish and you’re left with an unbeatable choice for a fun-filled festive outing for the whole family this Christmas.
Once again, Ballyshannon's finest talent has come together to serve up this festive treat.

Barry Gallagher as Robin Hood

With Ailis McIntyre directing, Mary Daly producing, Farrah Bogle as musical director and Suzanne Byrne as choreographer, you can be sure that the production crew will be teasing out the very best performances that the talented cast can offer.
And what a cast! There's a welcome return of stalwarts Kevin Lilly as the evil Sheriff of Nottingham, Sean McLoone as Friar Tuck, Val Murray as Tommy and Billy Grimes as Much. Barry Gallagher plays the hero of the downtrodden, Robin Hood, while Tracey Fitzpatrick dons the mantle of Maid Marian and Geraldine Foy takes on the role of Little Joan.
They're joined by an equally gifted supporting cast of adults, teens and children, many of whom are making their stage debut.
The first performance is at 5pm this Sunday, December 11th, when all tickets are just €10 each. From Monday, Dec. 12th to Thursday, Dec. 15th, the panto continues nightly at 8pm, and there are two performances, at 3pm and 8pm on the final day, Saturday, December 18th. Ticket prices for these shows are adults €12, concessions and children €10, family pass (2 adults and 2 children) €40.
Given the quality of previous pantos, it's no surprise that tickets are flying out of the door fast. So, due to unprecedented demand, please collect tickets as soon as possible to guarantee your seats and avoid disappointment.
Booking via the Abbey Centre box office on 071985 1375.
