People in Donegal will have a great opportunity to learn aerial dance skills

The Earagail Arts Festival always guarantees some spectacular performances and unusual opportunities to learn new skills.

This year is no expectation, and aerial circus company Fidget Feet tick both boxes.

A spokesperson said: “The Irish Aerial Dance Festival is back! Think Fame Academy but Aerial Dance version!

“For five  incredible days we will teach you everything aerial dance related, from vertical dance, to spiral, to silks and trapeze. The timetable is jam packed with informative classes and taught by incredible teachers who are well and truly experts in the field of aerial dance. “We will also  perform not one but four shows to showcase national and international talent.”

The shows will  take place in An Grianán Theatre, in association with Earagail Arts Festival, on Thursday, July 7, Friday, July 8 and Saturday, July 9.

Fidget Feet will perform their outdoor show ‘A Handful of  Dreams’ in the Aura car park, Letterkenny on Sunday, July 10.

“Fidget Feet are a pint-sized aerial circus company from Ireland,” continued the spokesperson.

“We tell our stories anywhere we  can think of; in theatres, from cranes, hidden in forests, or swinging from buildings all over the  world.

“Our performances are for everyone and we love to find new ways of telling our stories to  new people. Since 2004 Fidget Feet has performed across five continents and to hundreds of  thousands of people in some of the biggest festivals and venues across the globe.

“In addition to  creating work, Fidget Feet is a strong advocate for the development of aerial work in Ireland and  this is where the Irish Aerial Dance Festival comes in. We develop and nurture your talent.

“The festival takes place in Donegal this year from July 6 to 10.
