Burt native Callaghan was Gary Walsh’s deputy in 1992, having caught Brian McEniff’s eye in a challenge game to open the pitch at Urris in 1991. Would not play championship until 1997.
An All-Ireland Senior Schools Soccer final with Scoil Mhuire in Buncrana when he was 17 years of age and in 2015, he won the GAA Disability Coach of the Year Award. Regional Development Officer (West) with Ulster GAA.
