Where are they now? Donegal’s heroes that took home the 2012 All-Ireland

Donegal won the All-Ireland SFC for the second time in their history in 2012, when they defeated Mayo 2-11 to 0-13 in the final at Croke Park under Jim McGuinness

Leo McLoone
McLoone was a goalscorer for Donegal in the U-21 All-Ireland final in 2010. He played 109 times for Donegal since making his debut in 2008, winning five Ulsters and the 2012 All-Ireland before retiring in 2020. Still with Naomh Conaill seniors, with whom he has won seven Donegal SFC crowns. A teacher at the local Glenties Comprehensive, he also runs the family bar, Leo’s. He managed the Donegal U-20s, succeeding Gary Duffy in 2022.
