Most of you around Donegal Town would probably know me by now but for those of you who don’t, my name is Justin Coughlin, married for 43 years to my wife Agnes. I have always had a great love for Donegal Town and its environs and it would be a great honor and privilege for me to represent the people of Donegal Town as Mayor if I were lucky enough to be elected by you.
I retired from the Army after 21 years Military Service. I then worked voluntarily in addictions services and then took up a position in the Foyle Haven working with the homeless and street drinkers of Derry City. I was a member of the local St Vincent De Paul and worked for a number of years in the Thrift Shop which I enjoyed immensely.
I continue to have a keen interest in all things concerning community and charity organisations and have been actively involved in various charity fundraising events down through the years.
I worked for five years in the Hotel Industry as golf sales manager and traveled extensively throughout Europe and the USA and I feel that this experience would be of benefit to me in helping to carry out the role of Mayor if I was elected to the Office.
It’s great to see such a keen interest as shown by the number of candidates running for the office of Mayor and I would like to take this opportunity in wishing you all the very best in your campaign.
