Here's the nine Donegal debutants from their Dr McKenna Cup clash against Down

Paddy Carr's first match in charge of Donegal ended up in a 2-14 to 1-10 defeat to Down in the Dr McKenna Cup in Newry, where the new manager gave nine players their first appearances for the seniors

Luke McGlynn (Glenfin)
The 18-year-old from Glenfin was named at wing-forward for a first ever run for Donegal’s seniors. He was minor captain in 2021, with Luke Barrett’s Donegal reaching the final of the Ulster championship, where they lost out to Tyrone. McGlynn was with the U-20s last season and is expected to be a large part of new manager Leo McLoone’s plans.
