A great night was had by all at the CLG Chloich Cheann Fhaola Dinner Dance held in Óstán Loch Altan last Saturday where they celebrated the victorious U21 teams of 1998, 2000 and 2024. Please click on the arrows to go through the gallery
The special guest on the night was Seán Ó hEarcáin, Cathaoirleach Náisiúnta Chomórtas Peile na Gaeltachta. An tAthair Seán Ó Gallchóir, Uachtarán CLG Chloich Cheann Fhaola was the master of ceremonies at the event and among the speakers were Martin Duggan, Cathaoirleach CLG Chloich Cheann Fhaola and Charlie Gallagher and Murt Collins shared their memories of the 1998 and 2000 U21 campaigns with the audience which added immensely to the night.
The following were presented with awards on the night:
Senior Players of the Year - Cian McFadden and Shaun Maguire
Young Senior Player of the Year - Remy Moran
Reserve Player of the Year - Ronan Cannon
Young Reserve Player of the Year - Ciaran O'Donnell
U21 Player of the Year - Blake McGarvey
Club Persons of the Year - Seamus Ó Domhnaill & Conor Ó Gallachóir
An appreciation award was presented to senior team manager, Denis Doohan for all his work and commitment during the year.
Presentations were also made to members of the 1998 and 2000 U21 A County Championship winning teams and the manager, Joe Kelly and the captain of the 2000 team, Tommy Coyle were also remembered on the night.
The 2024 U21 B County Champions were presented with their medals on the night as were the Ceol Uirlise group who won the county title at Scór na nÓg. Presentations were also made to the club's honorary president, an tAthair Seán Ó Gallchóir and one of the club's honorary vice-president, Josie Doohan. A presentation was also made to the special guest on the night, Seán Ó hEarcáin as recognition of the 23 years he has spent as Chairperson of Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta.
