Catching the eye: Players to watch in this year’s Football Championships

With county players not playing for spells of the All-County Football League, there were a number of stand-out players who have yet to make their senior inter-county bow that will be looking to take their good form into the football championships in the coming weeks

Jamie Crawford (Four Masters)
Jamie Crawford is famous for getting his hands on the Sam Maguire on All-Ireland final day of 2012 a couple of hours before Michael Murphy! Yes Crawford was the young Donegal player who helped carry the famous cup onto its stand in the 2012 preliminaries. He has been making his mark for Four Masters over the past couple of seasons and was reasonably injury free this year and contributing very well in his full-forward role.
The Donegal town club are in transition mode at the moment with Kevin Sinclair bringing in a lot of young talent, and this is something that will continue for a number of years. Crawford has shown his worth and the student teacher is someone who is putting his hand forward for higher selection.
