Gallery: Darkness into Light in Letterkenny shows poignancy and offers hope

Based out of ATU Donegal in Letterkenny, huge crowds took to the streets just before sunrise for the annual Darkness into Light event, which was initially set up in 2013

The alarm clocks sounded early around the country this morning and in Letterkenny too for Darkness into Light.

Pieta provides life-saving support services for those in suicidal distress and for those who have been bereaved through suicide. The walks will begin in darkness at sunrise and continue through to dawn to symbolise the journey from despair to hope. 


Pieta is 80 percent funded by fundraising events like Darkness Into Light. The Darkness Into Light supporters help Pieta provide vital services to people impacted by suicide and self-harm at no cost.
