Three hundred schools applied for the national accolade and 43 schools achieved Nature Hero Status. The award acknowledges all the wonderful work schools do to help local biodiversity and connect young people to nature. Students were joined by representatives from Donegal Town Credit Union and the Men’s Shed who supported their mission during the year and joined the celebrations on the day.
The pupils of Scoil Aodh Rua agus Nuala also raised the Cineáltas flag which acknowledges the efforts of the whole school community to promote inclusion, diversity and wellbeing.
