Sean McLoughlin was the winner of the MSC Tri Club Lakeside Triathlon on Saturday morning in Ballyshannon.
McLoughlin completed the course in 1:03:20 to finish ahead of Ryan Lundy from Triathlon Club on 1:04:44 and 24/7’s Peter O’Donnell, who clocked 01:06:40. Click on the arrows to see the gallery
Omagh’s Cathy Cunningham was the first female over the line on 01:14:39, with Aoife Wilson from Northwest second on 01:16:00 and Dympna Kelly of Lough Key Triathlon Club third in 1:16:27.
Amy Lundy won the female U-19 event, with Kelly McCartan from Omagh taking the 20-29 category and Emma-Jo Mullan victorious in the 30-39 section. The 20-49 was won by Caoimhe Nc Mhurcu and Cindy McCarthy took the honours in the 50-59 and in the 60+ Jacintha O’Keeffe took the title.

Then, in the men’s U-19s, there was a local success with Neil Browne the winner and Conor Maguire from Omagh was the winner of the 20-29 and Mervyn McDowell of 24/7 in the 30-39. The 40-49 and 5-59 saw respective successes for Jonathan McLaren of Northwest and his clubmate Kevin O’Sullivan, with another of their teammates Dermot Connolly tops in the 60+ category.
