Gallery: All the winners from the Donegal Sports Star Awards

Donegal Sports Star awards was held as a virtual event due to the Covid-19 restrictions in January, so on Thursday the award winners were presented with their awards with Inishowen duo Sadie Duffy and Georgie Kelly among the winners

Olympic Recognition: Mona McSharry

Mona McSharry, a member of the Marlins Swimming Club in Ballyshannon is now on a university scholarship in Tennessee,  USA. She is the holder of multiple national senior records. In August 2017, she took gold in the 100m breaststroke at the World Junior Championships, in Indianapolis. At the end of July Mona finished eighth in her 100m Breastsroke final at her first Olympic Games. She was just the second Irish swimmer to make an Olympic final and the first in 25 years.
