In Pictures: A Night in Memory of Tanya takes place in Bundoran

The event was a fundraiser for SHOUT - Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust

A special night of fundraising has taken place to honour and remember Tanya Dunne.

Tanya died in December following a brave battle with cancer which saw her travel to Mexico for treatment, as well as being cared for in Altnagelvin in Derry, and at Sligo University Hospital.

Tanya touched many lives and her passing was met with much sadness.

Through his own grief, her husband Rory decided to organise an event that would honour the way in which Tanya lived her life, and in keeping with her thoughtful and generous spirit, would help others.

A Night In Memory of Tanya took place in the Great Northern Hotel, Bundoran, on Friday, October 27, the date which would have been Tanya’s 43rd birthday. With music by local artists and fantastic raffle prizes up for grabs, this was a worthy tribute to the late Tanya who has been described as ‘an amazing, powerful and inspirational lady.’

All proceeds from this go to SHOUT - Sligo Hospital Oncology Unit Trust.
