In pictures: Get to know the 14 ladies selected for the Mary From Dungloe

Over the 10 days, the participating ladies will wear their various sashes representing New York, Dungloe, Donegal, Birmingham, London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Wild Atlantic Way, Wicklow, United Arab Emirates, Philidelphia, Gaeltacht, Cavan and Glasgow

Fourteen ladies from around the world have been selected for this year’s Mary From Dungloe International Arts Festival, with the winner to be crowned early next month.

The festival will run from Saturday, July 27 until Monday, August 5. Now in its 57th year, the festival offers a wide variety of activities catering to all ages from live music, entertainment, sporting, artistic and novelty events all on the programme. 

Over the 10 days, the participating ladies will wear their various sashes representing  New York, Dungloe, Donegal, Birmingham, London, Dublin, Edinburgh, Wild Atlantic Way, Wicklow, United Arab Emirates, Philidelphia, Gaeltacht, Cavan and Glasgow  - Please use the arrows/next to view more pictures and learn about the Marys

The winner, crowned 'Mary From Dungloe' holds the title for a year and acts as an ambassador for the festival, Dungloe and Donegal. Last year’s winner was Adele Morgan, who is from Glasgow and represented Dubai.
