Magee were delighted to celebrate the Donegal 550 with a day-long event exploring their heritage as one of Donegal town’s oldest department stores with a rich history of weaving in South West Donegal.
There were heritage-inspired talks with Chairman and CEO Lynn and Rosy Temple who spoke about the history of Magee of Donegal and Magee 1866.
Also on the menu were heritage window displays, music, handweaving demonstrations, tastings from a selection of amazing suppliers in our Artisan Food Market and Weaver’s Loft Bistro and of course new arrivals for men and women from the AW24 Magee 1866 collection
Magee of Donegal is a fifth-generation family business from a store which has been known the world over for their iconic Donegal tweed which is designed and woven in their mill in Donegal town. The Temple family have led the business over the decades honing years of weaving skill into outerwear and tailoring.
