Members of Four Masters GAA and LGFA Club undertook a 100km cycle from Creeslough to Donegal Town, which, as of Tuesday morning, had raised €90,000 towards the new clubhouse.
A spokesperson said: “The Four Masters Club would like to send a big thank you to everyone who made Sunday’s cycle such a huge success.
“To all our marshalls and particularly our motorbike marshalls, who made sure our cyclists were safe on the roads at all times, we couldn't have done this without you. To the van drivers carrying spare gear, food, tyres and all the essentials, to the ladies and kids who gave a warm welcome and great words of encouragement, as well as food and drinks at each pit stop.
“To all the helpers and supporters at the homecoming in Tir Chonaill Park, the media people taking photos and videos along the way, to The Happy Camper, The Wild Atlantic Camp Creeslough, Glenswilly GAA, Fintown Community Centre, Ardara GAA, Donegal Coach Hire, Donegal Parish Centre, Donegal Civil Defence, An Garda Siochana, Outside Catering Donegal, GQ Transport, Donegal Tyre Centre, Ferm Engineering, Frank O'Donnell, McIntyres Service Station, Harvey's Point, Thank you all.
“To all the parents and club members who made sandwiches and provided delicious home baking and last but by no means least, the hardworking Clubhouse Development Committee.
“Thank you also to all our cyclists, this fundraiser would not have happened without you all, this was way out of the comfort zone for a lot of you, you should all be proud of your achievement.
“The club are glad that you all signed up to do this.. and your spots are reserved for the next one!”
“The money raised will go towards the new clubhouse, which will be a hub for our community and accessible to people of all abilities.
“The Bluestack Foundation is on board with our fundraising, and they will benefit greatly from the amenities when it is built.”
