The evening opened with prayer led by Rev Susan Elliott, followed by the singing of a number Christmas Carols inside the church due to the weather, but the rain eased off just in enough time to allow the crowd gathered to count down to see the tree lit.
Everyone enjoyed non-alcoholic mulled wine, hot chocolate and treats afterwards.
A special thanks to everyone involved this year in making the evening a huge success and to everyone who bought a bulb in memory of their loved ones.
All money raised this year is going to the Rainbow Centre in Donegal Town.
