Inishowen Engineering Division Two
Cockhill Res 3
Rasheney FC 5

Rashenny raced into an early three  goal lead with goals from Damien Friel, Ryan Doherty and Ronan Shovlin.

Their first arrived on nine minutes after a Friel corner was palmed out for  Doherty to slot home.  Doherty then turned provider when his deep cross eluded all defenders allowing Friel the simplest of tasks to head home.

Shovlin then added the third on 26 minutes with a good low finish from fourteen yards.Cockhill gradually grew into the match pulling one back with PJ Doherty finishing from a tight angle at the back post from a fine cross by Mason McDaid.

But Rasheney restored their three goal lead just before half time with a deflected strike from Ryan Doherty scoring his second of the match. Cockhill started the second half well and their pressure paid off when Andy McIlhinney scored from six yards from another good delivery by Mason McDaid.

As Cockhill continued to press Rasheney broke on the counter and Cormac Dillon finished well low past Darragh O'Donnell.Credit to the young Cockhill team who continued to press and pulled another goal back late on with Kieran McIlroy coming in off the wing to finish low to the far corner past Shaun Friel.

Moville Res 6
Aileach Youths 1

It was Aileach who took the lead in the third minute when Tom Doherty was left unmarked to head past Stephen Teles following a corner. But the home side responded and a three goal blitz in twelve minutes put them in control.

They equalised  on 18minutes when Conor Lafferty converted a penalty low to Dylan Clarke s left after Danny Murphy had been upended. Two minutes later Ronan McCarron sent Lafferty clear of the visitors defence and he finished superbly. Then on the half hour it became three one  after Murphy cut in from the right and fired a powerful shot across Clarke and into the bottom corner. Aileach tried to stem the  flow and Ryan Long had an effort well saved by Teles.

But before the break the home side increased their lead when a Lafferty free fell to Murphy to slot home from close range. Aileach  started the second half brightly and Daibidh Grant  fired just over the bar when well placed.

On the hour mark Murphy completed his hat trick when he raced onto another McCarron through ball, held off two defenders and fired low past substitute keeper Dylan Porter. Andrew Burke then fired over the bar before at the other end Long was  again denied by Teles. Moville completed the scoring on 89 minutes when they broke from an Aileach corner  with Murphy racing clear from half way and finishing low past Porter.

Carrowmena FC 1
QPS Youths 3

The visitors started the game well and opened the scoring on 16minutes when Ronan Lafferty crossed from the right for Thomas McConalogue who lobbed the ball over the advancing Maurice McGeady.

But the home side levelled on 26 minutes after a Gerard Gill corner found the unmarked Killian Dougal who looped a header over Stephen Slattery. The visitors were dealt a blow on 55 minutes when Ronan Lafferty received a second yellow card but they regained the lead midway through the half. A superb Eamon McCool pass released Josh McLaughlin and he kept his composure to fire low past McGeady.

Carrowmena responded and another Gill corner found Dougal again but he elected to control on his chest and was crowded out.  The home side suffered a blow when substitute Shane McCreadie suffered an ankle injury within minutes of coming on.

The Point sealed the victory in the closing stages when substitute Cillian McColgan pounced on a loose ball and raced clear of the home defence to superbly chip McGeady for a fine finish.

Glengad Res 2
Carn Res 3

The home side  started well and Ryan McGeoghaghan curled an effort just wide from fifteen yards before a Paul McGonagle free was superbly  tipped round the post  by keeper Ben Miller.

Carn responded and before the break the unmarked  Matthew Smith headed over a Dayton Cooke corner. Just after the break another Cooke corner fell to Conor McLaughlin who turned and fired just wide from twelve yards.

The visitors took the lead from another corner delivered by Cooke and this time Billy Dempsey rose unchallenged to head past Patrick McLaughlin. But the home side levelled within minutes after John McDaids ball over the top sent Matthew Mooney clear and he cut in before drilling past  Miller.

Five minutes later Carn regained the lead  after Mark Scott advanced from midfield unchallenged before shooting low past Miller  from the edge of the area. They increased their lead on 80 minutes after a superb Daire Tully pass found Dillon Cooke to finish well and make it three one. Glengad battled to the end and got a late consolation after PJ McDaid and Mooney combined for Mooney to score his second of the game.

Dunree Res 1
Culdaff Res  2

Culdaff started the better and a JJ Doherty effort was well saved by Philip Doherty on 15 minutes. Dunree responded with a Neil Moran cross met by a spectacular Gerry Farrell overhead kick which flashed just past the post.

Culdaff opened the scoring before the break after Niall Gordon broke on the left and crossed for Noel McLaughlin to finish well at the back post. Dunree started the second half on top and their best chance came after a Cole Sheridan pass released Farrell but he fired into the side netting.

Culdaff then increased their lead on 66 minutes after a Darragh McCormick free kick fell to Niall Gordon who tucked the ball neatly into the bottom corner. Dunree reduced the deficit on 75 minutes when David O Hagan crossed to Michael Grant and he  drilled low to the bottom corner. They almost snatched a point late on after great control by Michael Farrell saw his driven shot  across  the face of goal go begging.

Sea Rovers 1
Illies Res 2

Illies took the lead in the 10th minute after Conor Doherty headed home following a corner. Rovers replied and a good run from Daniel Gallagher ended with an effort well saved by Ciaran Sharkey.

Rovers were on top at this stage and Liam Gallagher and Declan McGonagle both went close. In the final chance of the half a superb cross from Gallagher found McGonagle but again he failed to hit the target. The opening twenty minutes of the second half saw defences on top with neither side able to create a clear opening.

Rovers equalised then on 66 minutes when another superb cross from Gallagher found Shay Rodgers  who headed home from six yards. Rovers pressed and five minutes later were unlucky to see a Ciaran Doherty effort crash off the post. Illies weathered the storm  and struck for the winner on 78 minutes when Michael Coyles free was headed home to the roof of the net by Ethan Doherty to seal the points.
