Thank you! Donegal's frontline workers applauded in St Patrick's Day parade

Frontline medical and emergency staff honoured in Donegal Town parade

The Donegal Town St Patrick's Day parade was an opportunity for people to thank frontline medical and emergency personnel for their courage and commitment over the last two years 

Frontline workers faced extremely challenging conditions which were physically and emotionally exhausting.

Emergency Department and community hospital nurses were joined in the parade by gardaí and ambulance personnel in the parade, and were gratefully applauded by onlookers.

It was a poignant reminder that despite the celebratory atmosphere of the first St Patrick's Day parade since 2019, the impact of the pandemic will be felt for a long time to come
