The spirits may have been slightly dampened in Bundoran on Christmas Day due to the annual charity swim having to be cancelled at a late hour, as a result of adverse weather conditions, and health and safety concerns, but New Year's Day gave a repreive to those who braved the chill and got their toes splashed in the waters of Bundoran Bay.
The rescheduled Christmas day swim took place at 12noon and a collection took place on the day with all proceeds going to the local Ozanam House. Ken Page was the efficient organsier.
