Ardara pub owners invite celebrations for final night
The Corner House announces final night under current owners for Sunday, September 20
A popular Ardara pub has announced an end to the era.
An online statement by the Corner House in Ardara released a statement declaring the end of the current ownership of the bar.
The statement said: “After almost 26 of the most wonderful years, next Sunday, Sept 20th, will be the last night of the McCahill McNelis Families running the Corner house.
“We invite you all to join us to reflect and celebrate on all the great times we’ve shared and as always all are welcome to join us for one last session in the corner over the weekend.”
The pub had been acquired by the current ownership, which included the late Stephen McCahill, a former recipient of the Donegal Person of the Year, in 2001, and became known as a venue that musicians from all over the world would descend on.
