Karen O'Kane outside Kokodesigns Studio in Ramelton
Ramelton silk and textile artist Karen O'Kane will hold a workshop and studio demonstrations for August Craft month.
Karen’s colourful hand-painted silk, inspired by beautiful Donegal, is hand-made into lampshades, lighting and soft furnishings.
The introduction to silk painting workshop will take place at Karen’s studio, Kokodesigns Studio, Glen Lower, Ramelton, F92D6K0, on Saturday, August 23, from 11am to 1pm, with a price of €45.
During the workshop, Karen will introduce the art of painting on silk using a resist technique. At the end of the workshop, attendees will have produced a silk painting to take home. All materials will be provided.
Karen will also open her studio each Friday in August from 10am-5.30pm to free demonstrations of how she designs and paints on silk to make her range of homeware.
