Newly-formed local drama group bringing play to Greencastle Community Centre

The Drumaweer Players group is staging Anyone Could Rob a Bank, which was first performed in the Abbey Theatre in Dublin in August 1960

Five Inishowen community organisations awarded total of €300,000 

he play is running at the Greencastle Community Centre  from February 18 to 21 

The newly-formed Drumaweer Players drama group is bringing a production of the 1960s play Anyone Could Rob a Bank to the  Greencastle Community Centre.

Filled with laughs and a few surprises, the play will be on stage over four nights later this month.

The three-act play, written by Tom Coffey and first performed in the Abbey Theatre in Dublin in August 1960, tells the story of three local men who are chatting about how easy it would be to rob a bank.

The next day, when they hear about the bank being robbed using their clever plan, accusations fly and long-standing friendships are threatened.

The opening night is on Wednesday, February 18 it runs until Saturday, February 21 with each show starting at 8pm sharp.

Tickets are priced at €10 each and are available from the following outlets: Greencastle Community Centre, The Seanti Bar, McLaughlin’s Shop in Greencastle Village and at McLaughlin’s Shop, Church Brae.
