The road is closed at the Port Road side of the Station Roundabout, Letterkenny
UPDATE: Woman taken to hospital following serious collision involving pedestrian and lorry in Letterkenny

A serious crash has occurred at the Station Roundabout area of Letterkenny.
No details regarding injuries have been confirmed as yet.
An Garda Síoichana issued a statement on Friday afternoon saying: “A number of traffic restrictions are in place due to a serious road traffic collision that occurred in the area of the Station Roundabout, Letterkenny today [Friday, April 3].
“Access to the Station Roundabout will not be permitted via the Port Road. A number of other diversions are in place also. Take an alternative route if your journey is necessary.”
Local reports are that inbound traffic is backed up extensively in and around Letterkenny, with lengthy delays.
The garda statement continues: “Traffic delays are to be expected.
“If possible, please avoid the area.
“These restrictions are likely to remain in place until tomorrow afternoon.”
