Donegal athlete Julie McNamee picked up two medals at the Anglo Celtic Plate 100km on Saturday.

The Tir Chonaill AC woman clocked nine hours, 32 minutes and 21 seconds for the gruelling event.

McNamee placed third in the F50 category, behind Patricia McLoughlin of Le Cheile AC and Karen Wilton of Jog Lisburn Running Club,

McNamee, McLoughlin and Sinead Egan from Galway City Harriers landed bronze in the overall placings, with England taking gold and Scotland silver.

The event was held at the Universuty of Limerick.
