St Bridget's Clonmany boxers in Cookstown on Sunday
Donegal boxers were celebrating success at the Ulster 9 County 123 Championships in Cookstown on Sunday.
It was a day to remember for the St Bridget’s, Clonmany boxers with five titles making their way back to the club.
Keelan Kearney of St Bridget’s edged out Killyman’s Isaac Whitehouse in the Boy 1 48kgs final on a split decision while his club-mate Rowen Doherty overpowered Thomas McDonagh from Carricmmore in the Boy 3 46kgs decider to claim a unanimous decision.
In the Boy 3 62kgs final, St Bridget’s Tyler McGonigle held away to earn a split decision win over Star’s Leon Itoya.
St Bridhgets’s duo Shay Devlin (Boy 1 52kgs) and Patrick McDaid (Boy 3 72kgs) also claimed titles via walkovers.
Annagry’s Enya Logue bagged an impressive stoppage to take the Girl 1 47kgs title, the west Donegal girl too strong for All Saints’ Eireann McGrath.

In an all-Donegal Girl 2 43kgs final, Lena O’Donnell from Dungloe overcame Twin Towns’ Aoibhinn Gillespie.
There was another Donegal derby in the Girl 2 53kgs final, where Raphoe BC’s Hannah Lee Peoples defeated Sara Tennyson from Derryveagh BC.
Letterkenny Boxing Club’s Pearse McKinney soared to a unanimous decision win over Cael Mullen from Star in the Boy 2 59kgs final and St John Bosco’s Ekleon Hani beat Cillian Corey OGBC to win the Boy 2 56kgs title.

There were also walkover wins for Dungloe’s Katelynn O’Donnell (Girl 1 53kgs), Isla McShane of Letterkenny (Girl 2 45kgs) and Carrigart BC's Tegan McCarron (Girl 2 75+kgs).
Letterkenny’s Martin McCarthy was halted by St John Bosco’s Luke Saunders in the Boy 1 decider at 44.5kgs while Illies Golden Gloves pair Cassie Lynch and Ava Bradley lost to Amy McManus (St Pat’s) and Maisie Flanagan (Muckno) in the Girl 3 finals at 51kgs and 53kgs.

On Tuesday night at Cookstown Community Centre, Raphoe BC’s Tyler Keaveney will face John Joe Coyle from Cookstown in the Boy 3 48kgs final. In his semi-final, Keaveney defeated Tullylish puncher Oliver Hill.
